About me

Dr Cecilia Ardaist, medical doctor. Fifteen years in intensive care in Argentina, emergency medicine in Italy since 2022 and aesthetic medicine since 2017. I see patients in Olbia.

Dr Cecilia Ardaist

I came to aesthetic medicine from intensive care: fifteen years, from 2007 to 2022, in adult intensive care in Argentina — at the Hospital Provincial del Centenario and the Sanatorio Rosendo García in Rosario, at the Hospital San José in Cañada de Gómez and in other hospitals — with critically ill patients, and for a period as coordinator of the unit at the Sanatorio Rosendo García. I obtained my specialisation in Adult Intensive Care in Argentina in 2014 (registration no. 49/199, Colegio de Médicos of the Province of Santa Fe), and my medical degree is recognised in Italy by the Ministry of Health.

Since 2022, I have worked in emergency departments in Italy, in Tempio Pausania, Oristano, Nuoro, Olbia, Frosinone and Imperia. I know the local emergency services through my work, which continues alongside my aesthetic practice.

I also work in diabetes care: I hold a Master's in Diabetes from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, from 2020, 1,500 hours. With the Sociedad Argentina de Diabetes and the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste I took the advanced diploma in diabetes mellitus, also in 2020, 240 hours. My daily work shows how diabetes, a thyroid condition or a medicine you have not mentioned can change which treatment is appropriate.

My training in aesthetic medicine includes the first year of the Master's in Aesthetic Medicine at ICAMP College in Milan, completed in 2025 with 34 ECM credits, and the CACE course in Aesthetic Medicine, the Argentinian Council of Aesthetic Sciences, in Buenos Aires in 2025: 600 hours.

What intensive care brings to aesthetic medicine

My intensive care experience shapes how I assess and care for each patient.

In intensive care, I learned to look at the whole person. Before recommending treatment, I review your medical history, medicines and test results. I then examine your skin and how your face moves, keeping your wider health in mind.

I learned to decide when to treat and when not to. If there is a contraindication, or a request no product can meet, I tell you and I explain why.

And I learned to manage complications. In aesthetic medicine they are rare but real, and what counts is recognising the clinical picture straight away and knowing what to do in the minutes that follow. I did that for fifteen years.

I also spent three years, from 2014 to 2016, at CUDAIO — the organ donation agency of the province of Santa Fe, within Argentina's national INCUCAI system — talking with families on their worst days. That experience taught me to listen carefully and take time to explain things clearly.

I am Argentinian, from Victoria, Entre Ríos. I live in Olbia and see patients in English, Italian and Spanish. Spanish is my mother tongue: if it is easier for you, we can do the consultation in Spanish.

How I see this work

Aesthetic treatment is a medical procedure chosen by a person who is otherwise well. When I inject a medicine or medical device, I take that responsibility seriously: the margin of error I accept is minimal.

Three things follow from that. You will find them on every page of this site.

I examine you first

Even if you arrive already knowing what you want. A full medical history changes the decision more often than you would think.

I explain the risks in full

Each treatment page includes information about complications and reasons treatment may not be suitable. We discuss the risks and your questions before you decide and sign the informed consent form.
